Have had a recurring problem with my car the last 2 years I've owned. Once in awhile it will start rough first thing in the morn and once in awhile when it does it will leak antifreeze not every time but when it starts exceptionally rough it will leave a plate size spot on the drivers side. Have had a compression test to see if a head gasket problem nothing showed up, had the water pump replaced am at my wits end as to what it could be. Anybody out there with any suggestions???????

Might see if local auto supply has a pressure tester for cooling system; then pump up to OEM's spec.ivylynn wrote:...last 2 years I've owned....leak antifreeze...
Let it sit there for say ten minutes, and see if pressure falls. Also, while waiting, pull all four plugs, then after pressure test, remove wire on positive side of coil, and have someone crank engine while watching, with safety goggles, for anti-freeze coming out of spark holes.
Two years going would not suggest a head gasket issue...there are heater water hoses on driver's side...I'd replace both of them.....easier to remove intake manifold, and take your time. Oh, look for a puddle when doing pressure test.
