22 mm = 0.86614"
7/8" = 0.875"
0.875" = 22.225 mm.

Are you still confused. The difference is .225 mm.

Initially was concerned because I cut the wires and yet could not fit the deep socket on the hex ... met up with a guy here in Portland that I know from 'turbo bricks.com' and he helped me out. Drivability has improved since replacement.

What I have done up to now:

- Fuel filter
- Fuel injection temperature sensor
- Coolant temperature sensor
- Radiator hoses, drained/replaced coolant
- Air mass meter
- Cleaned Throttle body
- Air filter
- Oxygen sensor
- Transmission oil flush
- New tires
- Valve cover gasket, camshaft seal, flame trap
- Replaced all fuses
- Spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor
- Timing belt
- Brake pads
- Brake junction block
- Cleaned IAC

Next up….

- oil change : I am planning on using 15w-40. Any thoughts? I also elected not to use any oil additives after doing some research

- Rear trailing arm bushings : a local shop will do them for $140, but I have a turbo bricks contact that might be willing to do them for some beer

Anything I am missing? Any suggestions on jobs I might have overlooked?

UPDATE:

I went ahead and had the local volvo shop replace the rear trailing arm bushings. The bushings that were in there were original (28 years old), and they looked as if they had been through the underside of a lawnmower. Anyways, the car feels very different - - much better overall

- - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- rear trailing arm bushings
- shift linkage bushing
- replaced alternator, power steering, a/c belts
