I had a Intake Cam Seal Leak that is fixed but I have some residual oil also around Exhaust Cam Seal which has reached around slightly to some hot pipe right around the corner on the drivers side of the engine a little below the level of the Cam Sensor. I saw it smoking there.
I am also wondering how much smell a raised dipstick will create.
I read about running a heater hose -- hose clamped I'm assuming -- down below some where.
If smell is coming from there then maybe that would help temporarily while I gather for PCV repair.
I might sound a little neurotic about this but I do a side transportation run or two a month for my Job for Money and I do not feel I can give passenger fair ride with burning oil smell in cabin.
I watched the degreasing tutorial, it is about 30 degrees here today.
Maybe I can attempt an isolated degrease with a rinse since it looks as though most of this oil is away from electrical connections.
I'm assuming as long as I run the car afterwords I will not have water freezing somewhere it shouldn't.
Thanks you very much for your time...

I realized I clearly have a Exhaust Cam Seal Leak.
Intake and Exhaust happened at the same time...
One was fixed [hopefully] other one I will do.

Get the car hot, then degrease. The heat will dry up any water that's gets in where it shouldn't.
Keep water from the alternator and starter ( no where near your cam seals, of course)

Closing the fresh air vent on the left hand side of the center vents in the dash cap along with using REC on the climate unit will also help.

Add some curry to your oil and sell it as a genuine Vermont-Indian driving experience......
