1998 S70 T5 radiator leak upper passenger side
1998 S70 T5 radiator leak upper passenger side
There is a leak where the small diameter hose (turbo cooler?) meets the upper passenger side of the radiator. I can't tell if the leak is in the hose fitting or on the radiator port. Is there an o-ring that might have failed? If the crack is on the radiator side, can the port be replaced or does the entire radiator need replacement? Thanks.

If you have a coolant leak near your radiator, you should replace it. A radiator is cheaper and easier to replace than an engine.

A crack in radiator near the hose which connects to thermostat is possible.willst5 wrote:There is a leak where the small diameter hose (turbo cooler?) meets the upper passenger side of the radiator. Cleanup the area, and look again later after few drive. Is the area wet - loss of coolant/anti-freeze in reservoir, check level?

My GLT radiator had an internal leak that resulted in oil in the coolant reservoir. Replacing the radiator resolved that problem. My T5 is spraying coolant from the area where the smaller diameter hose meets the radiator at the upper turbo port. I'm wondering what the problem could be before I disconnect the hose for a closer inspection. The turbo port looks like you could put a wrench on it, and replace it if a part were available. The reservoir drains a few miles after the engine warms up. Thanks.
