I've posted these on the MVS Facebook page months ago. Looks like he's still trying to unload them. I believe they're both automatics.
The usual disclaimer: I don't know the seller, don't know the car, don't know anything beyond what the ad says, and don't have any interest in this sale. This post is intended to potentially provide a match between an MVS member and his future Volvo, or generate discussion because of the car's rarity, beauty, or low price. MVS posts ads of cars that I personally would go to see with intent to buy.Two cars listed. Buy one for $1400, buy BOTH for $2500, willing to entertain offers for one or both cars.
The '84 has no tags on it, and is the cleaner looking of the two.
The '84 has clean doors, fenders, hood and tailgate BUT the floorboards are rusty. The '83 (not so clean looking) is the jewel. The floors on the '83 are solid...but there is the classic Volvo 240 rust behind the rear wheels.
SEPARATE ITEMS THAT COULD GO WITH EITHER CAR IF SOLD SEPARATELY:
4 Yakima Tower Racks (sorry no crossbars) for external rain gutters.
Clips, fasteners, and even some chrome lug nuts that I acquired over the years.
Four snow tires- studded Firestone Winter Force...two are mounted, two are not...and there's an unmounted wheel with a ding that could be repaired.
Each car has a Mann oil filter and drain plug washer ready to be installed.
I also have a maroon 240 hood and two grey 240 fenders at a separate location.

(To differentiate the pictures, this car has plates and a grey driver's side fender.)
Solid Floor boards, typical rust behind the rear wheels.
This car is FAST.

Looks clean, floor boards rusty...could be the perfect parts car for Car #1.
I bought this car as a possible restoration project. The floor boards are too far gone for me to tackle...however, the doors, fenders, hood and tailgate are rust free.
The car runs well, everything works and it's straight. Damage to body at left rear taillight (see pics)
Car is super quiet, remarkably free of rattles.
Lowering springs
New Fuel Pump (203,000)
New High Volume Pre-pump (203,000)
