Symptoms;
1
Often, when I start moving, the transmission responds very slowly, as if the car was heavily loaded. I have to kick the floor to get it off.
2
Driving on the highway, I remove the foot from the gas pedal (just to reduce the speed) and bang, there is a hard kick in the transmission. Then it goes on as nothing had happened.
3
Recently, couple of times for no reason that I can think about the car went into the limp mode. I painfully drove home and the next day the car was fine. I may, I said may, have pushed the W button as it was pretty snowy day. I don't dare repeat the experience.
The ATF is full and on the level. It was half emptied and replenished.
Vida doesn't read any code regarding transmission.
Could anyone tell me what I am looking at or for?
I have several hundred miles to drive next week and it's still chilly out there.
Unwise to take big risks!!!!
Thank you

Well for the transmission i would recommend to flush the oil and change the oil filter if there is any, if this helps than try to understand why you are losing atf, if this does not help than I thing that you have a bad torque converter or maybe it slips out of gears.
For the limp mode check the codes when it happens take it to the nearest shop or keep the scanner in car and use it when it goes in limp mode.
