will a third seat out of a 740 fit in a 850?

I would like to start by saying thanks for all of the info which lead me to purchase my first Volvo. It is an 1995 850 turbo wagon, which has been very well maintained. The car has had the same family as owners since the date of purchase,and all services have been performed.

The only thing that the wagon did not have was a third row seat, but i have found a 740 wagon (dont know the year) that the owner is parting out and it has the third seat in my interior color and eveyrthing!!!

Now to let the experts enlighten me once more, will the seat fit my wagon?

I hate to tell you, but they look nothing alike. The 740 seat will also fit a 760 940 and a 960, but probably not an 850.

They come up on eBay from time to tiime. If you are patient you can find a good deal on these. I'll also keep my eyes open for you.

A guy over on VS was selling an early V70 3rd row seat just a few weeks ago. I believe these are the same as for an 850. Don't know if he sold it or not. I messaged him to get back with me if it's still available. We'll see what he says: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/Third-Ro ... 70928.html

If it is $40 and for your car, grab it...don't worry if the color is different...they are rear facing anyway. Do be aware that you will need the seatbelts and other hardware too...without them, you'll be at the dealer, ultimately paying out your nose.

I thought you meant $40 for an 850 seat...no, like I said, I don't think the 740 seat will go in an 850. Sorry.
