[quote="MadeInJapan"]Just stumbling around the internet and found this...wow! It's for a '95 850 but so much applies to all of our cars, up to the '98 70 series. All diagrams of every part, diagnostic how-to's and more diagnostic codes than anywhere I'm aware of. It rivals the Haynes Manual- no, it's better! A must have!

Once you download it, if you don't have a way to open it, you'll need WinRar which you can download by clicking here:

Tried the link, but it didn't work.

Andy,
Somehow in your attempt to quote me you attached the HTML tag to the URL itself. That's why the link didn't work for you.

Try this, I just did and it works perfectly: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/downlo ... vo_850.zip

The RAR link is dead. The Zip file is the only way to download the manual from the internet now.

I owe Matt big time. The manual download saved me a trip to the junkyard or even worse the dealership. We had an ice storm here on Tuesday night and when I got up to chip my way out I had no blower. Thinking immediately resistor or motor I was ready to just go get one or both. After downloading the manual and running the diagnostics the only code I got was a 4-1-7. pass side temp sensor intake fan seized. Duhhhh, all of the intakes were solid ice, no wonder the fan seized. All it's going to take is a hair dryer and a diagnostics reset and I've got heat & AC again. Thanks Matt.....

MIJ,

Great find, thanks! Much better than Haynes which is pretty much useless...

Not to stray off topic, but JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market, usually refering to Japanese cars and their aftermarket (japanese) products.

Hey, now that's funny...this site is neither...maybe the thing that comes closest to that here is my name. Only reason I have it is because I was born over there and continue to work with Japanese...anyway, thanks for the info.
