1998 S90 Timing Belt Kit & Water Pump

I have a 1997 S90 (86,000 Miles) and a 1998 S90 (Used Engine-Milage unknown) and I need to replace timing belts and water pumps on both! Can a DIY owner like myself undertake and complete this project with minimal problems? I have all the necessary tools, unless some specialty tools are required, and I have the work shop with compressor, etc. Are there guides/instructions available on line?
Both of these cars are in great shape and I have already replaced the rotors and pads and hope to be able to replace the lower control bushings.
Any help would be appreciated!
Also, What happens if a timing belt breaks while the car is being driven? Does that event destroy the engine?

If you don't intend on replacing cam and crank oil seals, there are no special tools required. It's a straightforward job and should be do-able for you.

The B6304S is an interference engine. This means that if the timing belt breaks, the valves will collide with the pistons.

Also, just replace the control arms, don't bother with bushings. Decent arms are less than $40 each, now.

That video was very helpful for me as I just changed my timing belt and water pump.

How ever I will say I will never again put a water pump on with just a bare gasket. that thing was clean as can be but still leaked just a little so I had to pull it all back apart and use gasket sealer.
