No Power to ICM but not a bad ICM. Need location of Junction

Post by HereInOhio »

Does anyone know the location of junction 53/454?

My radio doesn't work and there is no power to the violet wire. I suspect the Infotainment relay but want to know where this junction is so when I'm by the vehicle I can find it if it is not the relay. I will also test the other wires coming from this junction but if the relay is good I would like to determine if the fault is before or after the junction.

Thanks in advance!!

So I stopped by where the XC90 is and tested power at the radio again and the CD player and not didn't have power. I probed right after the CEM and there wasn't power there so no need to find the junction. I wanted to take out the relay but ran out of time. Will reply how that goes.

Looking at it the relay doesn't look that accessable. I think they switched the CEM design after 2004 and read something about having to take the cowl off to remove the CEM. Hopefully I can switch the relay without removing it.

Any tips would be appreciated.

After some research it looks like if there is power at fuse #5 (ICM) on the CEM the relay is good and the CEM is providing power to the ICM. Is this correct?

I probbed the wire again and no power. I removed the connection "D" just above the red power wires from the CEM and it looked clean and I Ohm checked the wire/harness connection to make sure I'm checking the correct wire, I was.

I'm stumpped if this is the case, any suggestions?

My next step would be to remove the harness and prob the #3 pin in the CEM to see if power is there but I dont know what would happen running the car with that connector unplugged, anyone know?
