2001 S80 Coolant overflow hose disconnected

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2001 S80 Coolant overflow hose disconnected

Post by T64me »

Hi everyone,

I am trying to help a friend with his 2001 S80 T6. This hose popped off. I can't tell for sure where it is supposed to go.

Any constructive input would be appreciated!

It goes through the timing belt cover, behind which you will find the thermostat housing, it goes on a plastic or, in your friend's car's case, probably a brass nipple that is threaded into the t-housing. Read up on the other post that deals with thermostat/coolant hose that is active right now, and all will be revealed. It's a fiddly affair caused by a construction fault in my opinion: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 11&t=37005
