Hello MVS,

new member. Have a 2004 Volvo C70 - 49,000 miles. Signed up to get acquainted with Volvo's.
I have worked on many American and European cars, but not Volvo.
Car has been sitting in a heated garage for 3+ years and I need to get it going again.
Car starts up and drives, but needs to be gone over to get it road ready again.
Any advice is welcome. Pics have been posted to the photo section, but I don't see the post yet.

Just my opinion but:

Any exposed rubber that sits for a long time will need attention. Tires, timing belt, serpentine belts, bushings etc. Check for cracks change as needed.

All fluids should be changed before driving trans, engine ,brake ,power steering, coolant (use Volvo coolant). Add 1 bottle gumout all in one to fresh gas ( get rid of any 3 year old gas)

I like to throw in a set of spark plugs as well but that's not always needed.

This way I know my motor is firing right, injecting right, and won't throw a timing belt or pop a tire while cruising.

Welcome, blknblu. I'd look over this list, although it's not comprehensive for the task of bringing a car out of storage: Stage 0.
