1999 S70 GLT Fog Light installment

Post by nestors70 »

I want to install fog lights on my car but i don't know if i need all the relays for it.

And if so what relays do i need?

My car has the fog light button already installed on it and when i push it i can see the fog light come on on my dash.

Would I just need to plug in the fog lights? Where should I start?

Thanks in advance people!

Chances are the switch you have is for the rear fog light, not the fronts. I'm not so sure that there isn't some programming involved in adding the front fog lights on a '99. On the 850s the headlight relay had to be changed, a fog light relay added, and a jumper wire in a relay case that had to be installed as I recall. On the '99 It may take less hardware but it may take a download. If it turns out the headlight relay needs to be changed drop me a note as I'm sure I have a proper one on my '99 XC parts car - it had factory fogs installed.
