1998 S70 -- rotors, rear gray-front silver?

i just received these bosch quiet cast rotors and the rear ones are a gray color, the front are typical silver metal. ?

you can see even in the photos they are different, which i didn't notice when i bought them.

is this normal ? -thanks

It's not normal in the sense of what normal people would call normal--but if you look at the boxes for country of origin, I believe you will find that the rears are made in Italy and the fronts are made in China. I ask before I bought and took a pass on the Chinese.

Little good that did because the Volvo OE front rotors I bought are now made in China. One of them has two hairline cracks, so I will be sending both back when I get time to address it. That will be my last Volvo rotor purchase. I like ATE--beautifully made in Italy the last time I bought them.

Interesting. I did buy the Bosch rears to try them out and the box said Italy. Bosch has many facilities all around the world. Still strange that they would paint the rears and not the fronts.
