For Sale: 1995 850 Wagon $1250 Louisville, KY

This car has been my daily driver for 6 years up until last month, and is still in roadworthy driving condition, but may be more interesting as a parts car depending on what you're looking for. The car has 108k miles on it (or 174k kilometers according to the odometer, it has been metric since I got it around 65k kilometers and you are no doubt more familiar than I am with how to pull true mileage from the transmission), and runs/shifts just fine - no drivetrain problems to speak of.

Fixes/maintenance/replacements that have been done:
  • Timing belt with tensioner and pulleys (2012 @ 92k kilometers - 51k miles ago)
  • Starter (2010)
  • Battery (2015)
  • Brake master cylinder (2011)
  • Tires (2014, previously 2012)
  • Air filter (2015)
  • Spark plugs (2015)
  • A/C Condenser (2013)
  • Rear brake rotors (2013)
  • Serpentine belt (2015)
  • Fuel pump (2014)
  • Fuel pressure regulator (2014)
  • Fuel filter (2014)
  • Odometer gear (2011, broken for <250 miles)
  • Driver's side doors (both in 2010, driver's only in 2014)
  • Stereo head unit (2009)
  • Left rear axle (2010, see below)
  • Periodic wear items and maintenance such as brake pads and oil have also been kept up with, last oil change approximately 1000 miles ago
Known issues with this vehicle:
  • Driver's door replaced (key cannot be used to unlock it manually)
  • Repaired but unpainted body damage on driver's side (explanation below)
  • Check Engine and Service lights are gone (bulbs physically missing, circuits still presumably functional)
  • Suspension due for replacemenet
  • Power steering pump whines but still supplies power
  • A/C condenser was punctured in 2010, when I replaced it the replacement was immediately caved in by road debris (to my knowledge the condenser is the only thing wrong with the A/C)
  • Headliner fell down in rear, cut short and held up by sewing pins (see photo)
  • Power driver's seat back adjustment does not work (seat is presently upright and has been for many years, access hole in upholstery allows adjustment with socket wrench)
  • Vibration from front wheels under hard braking (rotors presumed warped)
  • Vibration from trunk area under very low speed braking
Why the driver's side is three colors:
Was hit in 2010, damage repaired (including left rear axle from a donor car) but the body and new doors were primed but never painted. Then in 2014 a friend's neighbor backed his Del Sol out of his driveway and into my driver's door shortly before speeding off to get his car repainted, so I replaced my driver's door with one from Pull-a-Part - it is fully functional and keeps water out but needs to be firmly closed.

Holistically the car is in working order, drives just fine, and has been extremely reliable, but has some very apparent rough edges. This was my first car, and as badly as I'd like to hold onto it and fix it up for a backup car, I will have a house payment a month from now that will make buying parts and keeping insurance and registration up to date a difficult pill to swallow, so the next best thing is for it to move on to a Volvo lover. Also included is a new IPD skid plate still in the box. I'd be happy to drive it out to you to take a look if you're in the Louisville-ish area.
