So, yesterday didn't quite go as planned. The owner (well, former owner) responded to my email, and the car had been sold.
Instead, I ended up going to look at a '98 V70 GLT (not RWD, but still a Volvo!) and ended up buying that. It has a little damage to the front end, but otherwise, it's nice. I'm waiting to hear from the owner, and an going to either have it dropped off or I'm going to pick it up today, and get to tearing it down to fix!
