2000 S70 Front Wheel Bearing

Post by Callie10 »

I took my car in to replace the left front wheel bearing (100k miles), and I was told by a new mechanic that they would also need to replace the left engine mount as it was cracked. Is it necessary to take the left engine mount off to replace front wheel bearing? Not sure if this place is legit.

Its not necessary to remove that mount, but it is common for engine mounts to break on these cars, after 15 years.
