You might get lucky and find it is just a bad connection on the multi-pin connectors. Clean them with electrical cleaner and if you have a wiring diagram that gives pin outs, see if one is for the odometer. Could be the pin is loose.

^I'd try this either way. Electrical cleaner has helped me a whole lot!

I think in the newer picture the wheels are from an 850 R.

Man, 1 week to get one of these cars right? I don't even try it. I usually turn them around in 21 days (a week of that is waiting for parts). I don't know how you'd do that and live your normal life during that time.

I really do NOT like that color. Poop brown.

I really love the way my mom's V70 GLT AWD rides. I would almost swap her my T-5R for that car. Isn't the ride harder with those 17" wheels?

T-5R, sir. Not R. And Cream Yellow is one of the best colors ever. That is my dream car, a cream yellow 1995 T-5R Wagon. Saffron is great on the S70R. Just sucks I can't buy one.

It's all routine at this point, I just gather stuff up and dive in. I can do in a day what used to take all week just to figure out. . I have a large collection of parts stashed away, that helps too.

The only thing I haven't done on one of these is replace a head.

It actually rides okay with those wheels.

I will PM you Matt, I dumped a new radiator in my '98 XC and drove it home from the storage place.

I get the thump on hard acceleration. That would imply carrier bearing when coming from the center if I am not mistaken.
I don't know what you have left.

I drove it home and I will not need to touch the steering or suspension at all.
New Brakes and Tires. The steering is tight, straight and does not pull or wander.

I know what you mean about the feel. Maybe the Nivomats have something to do with that feel?

Anyway It needs a battery Maybe a fuel pump, (no fuel gauge) Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, Pcv. The usual tune-up and I think it may be a keeper.
It drives very nice.
In the drive with the other white guys. The black ones are still in storage.
