I know this is not specifically pertinent to this thread, but are we able to do the factory updated programming for the tranny using the volvo scanning tool (vida/dice)? I know the china units can read, but are they able to write the new info to the tranny? I am sure I need to order one up, but before I rip the valve body off, I figured I should at least see if the car has been updated with the most current transmission programming.

The Dice Vida units can see current programming levels and report the software version numbers installed.

The release dates of the software is not reported so you need to run the numbers by somebody who knows such as Doublebug.

The aftermarket umits can write data but the Vida llicense is cracked and the Volvo online servers won't authenticate your Vida installation. You can purchase a license from www.volvotechinfo.com

Another alternative is to ask Henry to identify and upgrade your TCM software using his own software.

Henry,
I would love to program my transmission with code you have, as long as it works. I just replaced the solenoids and it is still throwing a code. I need to run the adaptations on it, but figure the software should be right first.
