I would like to know what standard things should be done on this car to ensure a good basic tune-up.......................

At those miles make sure the timing belt and related dampener, pulleys, etc. atc. are changed as well as the watter pump, service (serpentine) belt. Check for leaks of vacuum lines and change out for new or change to silicone hoses....also, plugs, wires (bougicord) rotor and cap.... I would also check the PCV system (oil separator under the intake manifold) and related hoses as well as engine mounts, and you should be good to go in the engine compartment. Other than this, the brake pads, struts, shocks as well as their mounts, string seats and swaybar endlinks. Good luck!

I would flush out the fluids to establish a baseline: transmission, oil, brake fluid, coolant. Replace Fuel filter. Changing to a K&N filter helps increase performance and will last the life of the car. I would also do the other maintenance issues as listed above as well.

Good point, I forgot about mentioning the fluids. Just be careful. At your miles, on a transmission, if it's never been flushed before, I would avoid a full flush but instead do a "drain and fill." There is a decent write up as to what this consists of in the repair database section.

MIJ, whats the difference between the timing belt and the serpentine belt? I thought there was only one belt.

Serp belt is the visible one.
Drives alternator, a/c, and power steering pump.
Ten minutes to replace.
Timing belt is under the plastic cover behind the serp belt.
Drives cam shafts and water pump.
~ half a day to replace.
If this one snaps or slips, kiss the engine good bye.....
