1996 850 Turbo wagon Piston and rod help
Hey guys. I purchased and removed the engine from a 1996 850 turbo because I heard some rod knock coming from it and found that there was three rod bearings completely pooched, so I have the crank being grinded and now I'm in search of new rods. My question is do you guys have anywhere to look online for new rods? Volvo wants 347$ per rod, I could buy a set of aftermarket ones for slightly more but for all 5 which I will probably will do but what names are some of the better ones for Volvo? And since I'm in the engine this far I'm thinking of doing the piston heads as well. Theres a bit of wear in the cylinders crosshatching so might machine a bit and get slightly larger piston heads. But I dont know where to find some of those along with rods, I can find them on ebay and such but not the best source thought you guys might have a better idea or site to look. And would you guys know where to get the info about the piston/rod sizes/lengths? Thanks for all your help so far, cheers!
