2000 C70 Hub or What? Help please
Hello to all, I am pretty good at working on cars, but I am stumped right now. I am getting a clicking, stripping sound on passenger side when I accelerate forward and turning don't matter, now take foot off gas pedal sounds go away. I changed the passenger side axle twice thinking that was the problem but the sound still there. Trans is perfect and tight no problems shifting at all, the sounds is coming from the front passenger side could it be the wheel bearing going bad?

I think they usually growl rather than click, maybe the heat shield or caliper is making the click.
The FWB on these cars are massive, over engineered FAG type - they last 150k miles easily.
If it is load dependent, the FWB usually changes noise when you load the car side to side, not accelerate/coast.
There are a lot of cheap driveaxle out there.
