WTB: Bevel gear for '98 XC 70

Post by FarmUsePlates »

Hello,

I'm looking for a known good bevel gear for a '98 XC 70. I'm having a hard time finding a definitive source on it, but I think '99 will interchange with '98? I'm in Virginia, but would pay to have a known good one shipped to me before the snow flies. I'm new here (as the '98 XC is new to me), but I've been on the brickboard forever.

Thanks!

There is a VIN break on 98's, so makes it fun. I have the older style and have had no luck locating a spare, lucky mine is fine for now, just want to have a spare hanging around.

This is a great thread for info.

Thanks for the info! To clarify what I'm looking for, my VIN is the early build one, pre #465400.

I have a good used one and I have no issue shipping it.
Drop me a PM if either of you are interested,
The only change in 98 was the flange that was on it and you can swap those if need be.
using the later 99 or 00 will not work as they are actually a different shape.

Let me know
