1998 V70 Door safety lights flop around
Re: 1998 V70 Door safety lights flop around
I went the pick n pull route. 2 of mine were doing the same thing, banging around ever since I got the car a few months ago. The lights clip in by setting the bottom into the hole on the door first, then just pushing the top. When I got home from the Pick n Pull, I couldn't get the new housings to stay put, the bottom wasn't holding properly on either door. I found that on the bottom of the hole in the door, the metal had been pushed in from all the abuse and was not straight anymore. A pair of needle nose pliers to straighten them out again and they've been holding without any adhesive for a couple months now.

Very cool. I'll have to go back and take a closer look, this time with needle-nose pliers in hand. (If the kids didn't squirrel them away again, that is.)
Thanks!
Thanks!
