2003 XC 70 parking pass install

My car didn't come with the parking pass clip that goes on the inside dash. I bought one, but can't figure out how to install it. Can anyone help?

Remove the A pillar trim.
Install clip, (just sits in there) and snap back the pillar cover

Well, that's over my head. How do you remove the A pillar trim? I pulled it away a bit from the glass, and put the clip in, but it's not snug against the glass.
