Hi,
I have a 1999 V70 and i'd like to install a genuine Volvo V70 sunroof that i can get from the scrap yard.
I'm going to take the headlining as well and any relay's/switch that's needed for the sunroof. I'm pretty sure the wiring for the sunroof is already there in my car.
My questions is do you think this is too risky to do? I mean yes a hole has to be cut in the roof but i'm going to get a professional to install it, who installs sunroofs. I just don't like the after market sunroofs as they don't sit right on the roof of a car plus they are expensive.
So is it too risky to do and do you think this job is at all possible?
Feedback very much appreciated.
Thanks, Kevin.
Possible to install a scrap yard V70 sunroof?

Possible, yes. Anything is possible given enough time and money
Practical, no. You need a folded lip for the sunroof's seal to rest on. That would require some serious body work including welding and bending. If you think the aftermarket sunroof is too expensive, this would be more expensive

I would not trust anyone to cut a good enough hole. Just swap cars.

I'm going to take your advice and not do it. It would be easier/safer to just swap cars. Thanks guys...
