I'm singer in the Pixies cover band. We've been practicing 8 songs for a few weeks.

I'm out of my mind right now with nervous excitement. I've never sung onstage before.

It was a crazy, surreal experience. I'll never forget it. The place sold out, 235, but not because of my band really... it was $5 cover (cheap), and the two other bands that really drew.

We made a few errors and I forgot a line

but it was still good. We got applause, and had a hell of a good time.

Two weeks before it, then two days before it, then I'm at the venue an hour before it, then ten minutes before it, then we're up, and I get up on stage, look at my bandmates, and here we go, the time is now, let's deliver.

I may never get on stage again, but I'll die (minor musically accomplishedly) happy.
