Limp Mode no codes

I drove the 15 miles to work as normal, but when I tried to leave work my 1999 V70 XC had a P0113 code (intake air temp) and went into limp mode. The IAT resistor wire had broke. I soldered the wire and it is now reading the correct temperature according to Torque real time scan data. The car is still in limp mode and now is not displaying any codes. When I watch the throttle position sensor % in Torque it reads 20.4% at idle and does not change when I hold down the gas. All other sensors like the MAF appear to be reading correctly. I fear it is the throttle position sensor issue that is common on these cars. Before I commit to that repair I was wondering if being in limp mode locks the throttle position to 20%, or if the throttle should act normal. I feel like there should be a engine code (only have OBDII so can't get module codes). I've seen lots of posts about the TPS, but none that include expected values during a real time scan when in limp mode.

Try resetting everything first. Battery off, brake pedal, all of that. See if that kicks it out of limp mode before you start throwing new stuff at it.

Might well be your TPS, but basics first.

I left the battery disconnected for 20 minutes, but now that you mention it I'll leave it disconnected overnight and try it in the morning

Check your ETS bulb when you key on before starting. Does the ETM make the power up whine when the key is on.

The ets light on for 5 seconds then goes out never comes back on in the key on position or when running. I can hear a faint whine if i get as close as possible (head on intake). When the key is turned off the whine continues until the relay de-energizes and clicks.

It sounds like the very rare ETM failure without ETS light. I think mike says he has seen this only once before in his pro garage,

You definitely are in limp,mode and it does sound like ETM. FCPEuro are carrying rebuilts at about 400 bucks, and a 100 buck software load is needed, too
