2001-2002 S60's had a v costly throttle body issue, don't know if it applies to the S80 too. The replacement transmission needs to be tested with hot fluid after at least 30 minutes of driving - that's when the issues will show up. Better bet is if the transmission was replaced a while ago, so the issues had time to surface on the used one. The T6 S80 was less affected with transmission issues compared to the XC90 with the same engine.

I have had a 2002 T6 for 5 years now; supercar. Check the usual suspects: front suspension noises, vibrations (driveshaft), engine mount. And check the maintenance records. If the mileage is correct and the car has been looked after, I highly recommend it.

The throttle BTW is the Magnetti Marelli unit that is a high failure item. The T6s suffer from the same transmission problems as the XC90s. It is way too much torque for the GM transmission from the twin turbo six.
