Just sold the 2000 S70 and got a 02' V70 T5.
1) Passenger door lock is manual only as it does'nt respond to remote or main door lock. Already depaneled door, applied CRC to connectors (even though they looked great). Still same problem
2) Sunroof will not stay in a closed or locked position via the switch. Also the window will not open to full potential. Only gets about half way and automatically closes.
3) radio intermittently changes from CD to AM to FM...all on its own.
Thanks
2002 V70 T5 electrical issues
My xc had the same window issue. I disconnected the battery in the cargo area and let it sit for 20 minutes. Reconnected and everything worked fine. I think doing that forces the memory to be wiped. Double check that you have your radio codes before doing.

Not sure there are radio codes for an 02. Our 06 doesn't have one, but check with the dealer. Give them the VIN# and they can find it for you if it has one.
The passenger door actuator has broken. Some folks claim that they have been able to repair them, but a 2nd hand one is best way to go as new are expensive.
Not sure about the sunroof, but sounds like it may be misaligned. May need some specialist help with that one. It is either that or for some reason it is overloading the motor.
Neil.

Radio issue may be a separate one. I Ran into the same issue with a door switch. Seems the passenger door switch has mirror function...Temp display...and sunroof info along with lock and window function. My understanding is you have to have the dealer reprogram the switch.
Does the source button on the radio feel funny? I had that happen with the seek up button. hit a bump and channels changed. The rubber membrane under the button had split ... I was able to solder in a new micro switch from radio shack and get it repaired. the radio is a little fiddly to get apart...but not too bad.

Thanks for the input fellas.
So after i performed the "correct" battery reset.. When i use the unlock switch on driver door there is a sound coming from the passenger door...I am guessing its the actuator failing?
Still same sunroof malfunction. So i will take it a part, and fiddle with it... AGAIN.
Anything in particular i should be looking for to set the guides "correct"?
On a side note but perhaps important for optimal diagnosis. My instrument panel information windows do not work, as in all 3!! I was already planning on removing it to have it cleaned and "reflowed"... (me cleaning, and a Pro to reflow circuit board). Should I start there?

Took off the sunshade and sunroof window. Disconnected the slider arm attachment aka "guides" (to me). Cleaned rails (best as possible witbout removing them, and could run the "guides" as far back as they could go... Re-Attached guides (without window) and still only goes half way back. What am i missing here? Do I have to pull the headliner to gain full access?

The UEM which is rear view mirror module actually controls the sunroof so the fault may lie with this unit. Still, check all fuses and the guides for fowling or impediments.
A "correct" battery reset as explained in Vida for P2 cars involves reconnecting the battery with ignition in Pos II. This often wakes sleeping modules such as UEM.

Some pictures to show what I am talkin about. When the red/green circled items are attached it only produces the window to retract half way. When they are unattached I can move it as far back as it goes with the window switch. Also... Using the window switch, the sliding mechanism doesnt come to a locked position (as in where the window would be in a "closed" setting. It just goes up and immediately retracts as if it cannot find the "closed position".

Did some extra reading about this model and found out that a dieing battery may cause problems. Turns out my battery was bad and swapped it out... STILL same problems.
So Now the plan is
1) door accuator repl.
2) reflow dash circuit board
3) align rails for sunroof
-Any write ups or videos for the sunroof rails reset process would be very appreciated.
Thanks
