1993 850 hood latch problem

While trying to open the hood , the cable must of snapped somewhere inside. I know that there are 2 latches. I haven't a clue how to get around this. I know that there are 2 distinct cables but I can't open the hood.
Help!!!

There are two cables but there is only one from the lever in the cabin. It opens the drivers side latch and then hooks up to a second cable that releases the passengers side latch.

A guy on VS had the same problem and managed to get it open by breaking out the drivers side headlight with a hammer to gain access. That was a good thing since his neighbor had his cutting torch fired up and was getting ready to go through the top of the hood.

Headlight assemblies are relatively cheap when compared to hoods.
