It is "cutting out" when I am driving down the road...almost as if it is choking or not getting fuel. Have tried fuel treatment, but this is worrying me...making me think I might get stranded.
Please help

What you describe could be caused by many things. I would not recommend just swapping parts in a trial and error method of eliminating the troubles or you could spend a fortune. If you have the diagnostic ability purchase a Volvo repair manual (examples include Haynes or Chilton) and try to isolate the troubles. If not it may be worth while and much cheaper to have a reputable mechanic diagnose it.

Problem could be caused by: hall effects sensor, ignition ampliphier, primary or main fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, plugged catalytic converter, mass airflow sensor, thermo sensor, to name just a few.
