Hey All - assuming I get the engine kinks worked out of my '04 V70, I'll be replacing suspension components soon. Primary on my list is Front Struts.
A couple years ago I bought Quick Strut Assemblies for my '99 V70. I'm talking about the strut, coil spring, seats, etc. I've actually installed a lot of Quick Strut Assemblies on various cars & vans these past 5 years, so they're pretty common.
I cannot find any Quick Strut Assemblies - anywhere - for my '04 V70. Out of curiosity I've searched for some for my '99 V70 (there were a lot available a couple years ago), and they're just about impossible to locate as well.
Is there a reason I cannot find any Quick Strut Assemblies for my '04? Some weird legal issue? Just supply & demand?

Probably supply and demand. I just put them into my Ford truck, and boy was that an easy job compared to disassembling the strut assembly. Last summer, I was able to get Gabriel quick struts for my '94 850 wagon, so it may be just a seasonal thing.

I'd agree that the job would be far easier with a fully assembled unit but it would depend on the parts... My ol blue is at 200k so not sure I'm too much into OEM parts for her but some parts I've heard are more important to get right that others, specially the spring seat. No experience with the kit but I'd probably have gone with that back when I did this.
