VCNA is involved....the file was opened yesterday and has been forwarded to the Territory Service Manager for review today. I called them and updated them with what was provided to me on my service receipt..."No compression in cyl. 3. Est. $7000 provided for used engine." NO ROOT CAUSE WAS OFFERED OR ATTEMPTED. JUST A QUICK "WANNA BUY A USED ENGINE AND PAY $5000 FOR LABOR?" Ambulance chasers...or should I say tow truck chasers...precopster wrote:Jimmy isn't 15psi worth of extra O2 going to have a very small impact on the O2 sensor's reading when taking into account the entire oxygen reading?
In any case I have to agree with involving Volvo NA and having them view this case. It would be nice to think that after spending all that money, they would come to the party, even with a percentage of the cost.
When I have had a failed injector or plugged injector the car would often have fouled plugs on some of the other cylinders and barely run. The low compression may reduce the air pumping of that cylinder but it would still be enough to make it light up check engine light and run poor enough to not make it operable.precopster wrote:Jimmy isn't 15psi worth of extra O2 going to have a very small impact on the O2 sensor's reading when taking into account the entire oxygen reading?
