ABS module is back in and working fine.
We have Check Engine Code P0410 secondary air injector which we had last
winter. Looks like I have to do the diode fix.

The new odometer gear, at least the one IPD sells, is nylon instead of plastic and should last the life of the car. I've read that resetting the trip odometer while the car is moving is what breaks it. While you have the speedometer out you should also change the light bulbs. It will be obvious how to advance the miles on the odometer but it will take a long while to turn the gears from 89,000 to 130,000. You could do it while watching the tv some evening.

Yes, check the axle seal on that side. Pretty common for them to leak. As with any leak, best way to track it down is to clean the area thoroughly then see where it comes from.PeteB wrote:I... There was a lot of trans

Thanks again for all the tips!
Wondering if running the odometer too fast might damage it?
I suppose all I can do is try it and get a used one if it breaks.

Makes sense, is the axle seal fairly easy to do say when changing the axles?erikv11 wrote:Yes, check the axle seal on that side. Pretty common for them to leak. Or does it involve further disassembly of the transaxle?

Yep, just a routine job to change that seal when the axle is out.

It is now making a squeal/screech from the belt area, hope it isn't the timing belt tensioner.
Seems to do it when accelerating, sounds like a dry bearing to me more than belt slippage.
It's been cold here any suggestions to get by for a few months?
The serpentine belt tensioner seems to be maybe a 1/8" off center, is that a clue?

Pete. Use a hose like a stethoscope to identify where the screech noise is coming from, or just remove the serpentine belt and see if it stays.
If it is in the timing belt circuit park the car until you can replace everything

Going to try to get the serpentine belt off tonight but it is getting dark.
Any guesses, or anyone know if one or the other tends to develop bearing
whine noises? Thanks again!
