2001 Volvo v70 T5 climate control problems

Post by Jusdixon »

Hi, looking for a bit of advice on this, I left the car for a couple of months sitting (due to ill health) everything was fine when I left it, but when I needed to use the car again the battery was flat so we jump started it (first turn of the key) however I lost the heater fan control/heated seats/demist and basically everything on that part of the control panel, I checked all the relays & fuses they all checked ok, after reading online it was advised that I could have spiked the climate control module, I ordered an exact match (from eBay) & fitted it, however the heater fan will not turn off & stays on with the ignition off and keys out, does this need programmed at Volvo or do you think further damage has been caused with the battery spike? Thanks
