Hello all! Sorry for my lack of response and my delayed response to the most recent post. I'm pleased to report that my 240 is back on the road and better than ever! I was fortunate enough to find a mechanic in Raleigh who was able to find a used BF230 engine off a '90 Volvo wagon in a Georgia junkyard. Let's just say I really lucked out because I only paid $650 for an engine that had less than 144,000 miles. The mechanic completed the engine swap, which was a process to say the least but well worth the wait. While my Volvo isn't quite the same in terms of the sound of the motor and the tension in the clutch, I'd say it runs even stronger than it did on the original motor. Thank you all for your input and help! Thanks to your guidance "Apollo13" lives to complete many more missions!

Glad to hear you were able to make the swap at a great price. You've kept this car in great condition and hopefully you can enjoy it for quite a while longer.

As noted, repairing a clean older vehicle is generally cheaper than buying an used car-lot headache, overtime.

Good to hear its up/running...
