Procedure for Removing Upper Oxygen Sensor 2000 V70 Non-Turbo

Well, after several weeks of the driving with the CEL off, it came on again when I started my car last night. I am going to get codes read at some point this weekend, but I can't imagine what might be causing it this time. It is still running just fine. I am wondering if it might have something to do with the vacuum lines I replaced. The one on the airbox is fine, but I am concerned about the large line that runs from the intake hose over to the head. I have indicated which one it is in the picture. Does anyone know where I might get a new one of those? I used some hose I got at the auto parts store, which doesn't quite bend the same way. I am afraid it might be pinched. Any advice or suggestions would be great appreciated.

Okay I had the codes read. I got a P0506 Idle Air Control, and another oxygen sensor bank 1 code. I am not sure what's causing these. When I got back into my car to leave, I turned the key to start it and it stalled. After that, it would not start again. Finally I pulled the key out and put it back and then cranked it and it started up. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on here?

Take a picture of you vacuum hose diagram on the hood and post it up.

I'm not sure that fat hose is a problem, though. You have go through all your hoses slowly and carefully on a 15, year old car.

It's common for the air control hoses on the air cleaner to pop off since you can't see them

All of your codes could be caused by simple hose leaks and cracks

Amongst the other items mentioned above a throttle which is beginning to fail can cause O2 sensor codes. I have several test ETMs for my throttle repair service and I use the same vehicle as yours with the Denso management. One of the ETMs I occasionally use in my car gives O2 codes on bank 1 sensor 1. Also gives a sensor 1 or 2 fault yet nothing else other than an occasional loss of cruise control. Having these cars read with anything but a Vida/Dice setup is mostly a waste of time as some scanners just can't see other errors.

Thanks for the responses. I did replace both vacuum lines on my airbox, so I don't think that's causing the CEL. I will carefully inspect some of the other lines when I have a chance. It is very possible that disrupted and/or broke something somewhere else. All of the plastic and rubber parts in my engine bay are fairly fragile at this point. I guess that's what happens with a 16 year old car in an arid climate.

I actually had suspected that might ETM might be going bad, but I wasn't sure what a good way of checking that was. On the plus side, I still have another ten months until the car will need to be smogged again. I hope I can figure out the issue sooner though.
