2004 V70 2.4 Starts and Runs for a few minutes then Dies

Post by Skidplate »

My 2004 V70 is giving me fits, it will run perfectly for a few minutes then it stalls. At first the battery died from repeatedly starting it to get it down the road so it didn't have any codes or a check engine light, when it stalls i press the schrader valve on the fuel rail and it has no pressure, so i replaced the fuel pump assembly, so all new parts there, i replaced the relay, and last year i replaced the fuel pressure sensor. I got it all back together and it was running for about 15 minutes, then it stalled the same way again, like it was running out of gas, no fuel pressure... But this time the CE light came on and I'm getting the code for the fuel pressure sensor, so now it has a new one of those too.

Now with all the new parts, it is giving me a code for fuel pressure regulator performance and I think this car does not have a regulator like that because it is returnless setup.

Anyone have any ideas, because I'm stumped, and trying to learn to swear in Swedish.

Now i have unplugged each sensor individually and cleaned the MAF sensor on the airbox, and searched for any vacuum leaks , all to no avail. same symptoms. If i let it run until it stalls out on its own, there is little to no fuel pressure int the rail and it will not immediately start up, but if i let it sit for maybe 20-30 minutes it will start up and run perfectly for 3-5 minutes or so.
