S80 T6

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

S80 T6

Post by Niva »

Ok so I had my power steering rack overhauled

The shop who did it couldn't do the re calibration of the steering and it had to go to Volvo.

That's fine

I get it back and it's running like crap

When hot it and put my foot down it sounds like I have no air filter in

Full on intake noise

I take it back and they say the ETM is faulty..... It was new 6 months ago

They replace it again... Another $1800! That's nearly $5000 in 6 months!

I get it back and it's running worse! Intake sound it's there when hot again. Massive lack of power and now a bouncing idle!

HELP ME PLEASE!

I'm afraid we cannot help. It looks like the Volvo dealer you are going to is dishonest and is breaking things to make you come back for repairs. As above, try going to Court, or try looking for another garage.

There's only one Volvo dealership in a 500 km radius from me and the next one is a 3 hour ferry ride too

So go back and threaten legal action?

I'm so confused now! The cars running fine now.

Gives a small bounce when started when cold but settles about 5 seconds later

Also noticed my cars only changing at 12.9 volts... Could this be a issue?

Now its back to running like crap again...

volts are still at 12.9 volts...

Could it be caused by not enough power?
