Has anyone tried these? I have a friend who bought the cheapest set. Hers are ten years old and still look nice but they fit a little loosely in the seat area. After ten years they may have stretched a little. Anyhow, I'm looking for user experience with these or something possibly cheaper that worked out for you. My OEM seat covers are coming apart and I need something.

Another option (may not be cheaper if you buy both bottom and back): http://elwoodindustries.com/id64.html
FWIW I didn't buy it. At least not yet. I was hoping I could find something at the junk yard, but couldn't. So now I'm still driving with the bottom cover slowly coming apart. Maybe at some point when I'm tired of looking at the miserable leather I'll just buy some cheapo seat cover from Walmart.

We've been using these...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-S40-V40-S60 ... Zj&vxp=mtr
They've been pretty good. They're about 10 months old right now. We haven't cleaned them yet. (I should get to it one of these days.) But it is loads better than the usual "exploded-cushion" look of most of our cars. I just installed it over the ripped seats and they feel great. I'll run outside and take a picture and post it up so you can see if they're what you're looking for.
edit: our Greek car seats, 10 months old

Whatever you do for seat covers, don't forget your SIPS side air bags.
There are quite a few covers out there that aren't designed to break open
in the event of an accident and let the air bag do it's job.

Marco, how does the material feel like? Does it feel like cloth or leather or plastic? From the picture it's hard to tell.
(Oh, and I just realize they don't make it for 850. They specifically say it's not compatible. And I thought the 850 and V70 should be pretty similar)

If you want it, there is an 850/940/960 seat cut option by same seller I've purchased previously.lext wrote:...

lext, they feel like good leatherette? They feel great, aren't noisy, and we can slip in and out of the car pretty effortlessly. I haven't really noticed them getting too hot, either. They're a little "stiffer" than leather. But they certainly don't feel like plastic or vinyl.lext wrote:Marco, how does the material feel like? Does it feel like cloth or leather or plastic? I actually have some used seat skins if you're interested. They're from an SE, beige, so they have piping and suede. If you're at all fabrically inclined you should be able to DIY.
I sourced some replacements for mine, OEM from a junk yard on Vancouver Island (still not cheap), but after an afternoon of hog ringing and ziptieing for each seat I was pretty pleased! Way better than buying universal seat covers.

Those are nice seat covers, but I have cloth seats and my car is pretty rough looking. I cant justify the cost of those for my car. The sheepskin ones I found are at the top of what I'd pay.lext wrote:Another option (may not be cheaper if you buy both bottom and back): http://elwoodindustries.com/id64.html

Good point. The sheepskin covers I pointed out allow for side airbags. Thats one of the reasons I liked them.BEJinFbk wrote:Whatever you do for seat covers, don't forget your SIPS side air bags.
