Code Analyzers

I have a 1993 Volvo 850 and am unable to decide what analyzer I need to be compliant with the onboard ECU. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can use OBDI or II on a 93 850- read codes from the red led
in the Front passenger side of engine compartment. Code retreival and explanations are one the internet at several sites, or get a Haynes Manual for the 850.

I was afraid of that. I have a Hayes manual and it is of little help. I does refer to using an analyzer but the manual is for 93-97 model 850. Thanks for the quick reply.
