1999 S70 fuel line at filter
During the replacement of the fuel filter on my S70, the fuel line broke off about 3 inches past the front fitting. Yes, I was trying to force the filter out when it happened, so I guess I deserve it. So, what now? Just how do you fix that kind of a break? Is the black block thing replaceable? Looks like some kind of tee.

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming you have a FWD car and not AWD. I am more familiar with AWD, but that looks like a pressure valve. On my car, the hose is not actually crimped on if I recall. What part is broken? If it is just the rubber pipe than you should be able to add in a piece of fuel compatible hose and use a metal double barb and pipe clamps to join them. Other wise the pipe looks like the one that runs all the way from the fuel filter to the engine bay, and are expensive and tricky to get access to replace. FWD is much easier than AWD.

It is front wheel drive. The piece that the barb broke off of is what holds the roll over valve. The roll over valve has two screws that holds it on the piece that broke.

I had to replace the fuel line on a 98 V70. The VOLVO replacement (9445592) came in two sections. I just used the forward section that runs forward to the engine to repair the leak. But this is what the new parts looked like. Yours might be slightly different, given it is a sedan and different year.
Les is more.

There is definitely a change from 1998 to 1999 with ME7. No FPR on a 1999 as the fuel pressure is metered differently, so Im sure the lines are different.

I was able to get the part I needed with the roll over valve at my local junk yard this morning. Now to patiently remove the old one and put it on my fuel line! But after examining what I got I see that the fuel lines have an inner plastic liner that seems to be heat shrunk to the ends of the block. So, I may be using some barb fittings and small hose clamps to install this thing in my car. Never easy.

I think my best and smartest option is to buy a new fuel line and fix it correctly. I really don't need a fuel leak. Especially when I get it ready to sell. Now to find one someplace other than the dealer. $271.44 plus tax at my local volvo dealer.

My fuel line broke at the plastic piece that holds the roll over valve. (see picture) So, I think I will need the complete fuel line, item #28. Of course, the expensive part!
