740 wagon: the fuse to my blower blows immediately-any ideas?

does anyone know why the fuse for the blower motor on my 92 740 would blow right away? and all of a sudden?

Maybe the blower motor is toast.

Agreed- the motor is binding or a power stage is bad so the fuse blows. You can put 12V directly to the motor to see if it spins up...if it does, then it's the power stage. On that car, not sure where it is, but it's bound to be nearby- just follow the wires... on some blower motors, it is build into the casing of the blower motor itself.
