A/C Issues

Hello all, I have a 2001 S80. When using the A/C it will sporatically stop working creating a wet type of smell coming from the now warm air. I can turn the air off for 2 minutes or so then turn it back on to cool air again. Sometimes this happens every 10 minutes and sometimes it won't happen for an entire 3 hour trip. I've taken it to a volvo shop and was told there was a bypass switch to keep this from happening. The owner told me he bypassed this switch and did not charge me. Worked for 2 months with no problems, now it's back. Any ideas?? Thanks!

P.O. bypassed the bypass switch? Never heard of it. Actually sounds like the system might be over-charged. Check the pressure of your gas from the low pressure valve....should be located near the passenger side headlight.
