Yes. I bought some off of eBay. They should arrive Tuesday. Hopefully they are much better than what I have. The pictures look good and they guy claims they are straight and true but they're from Wisconsin. I used to live up there fairly close in Chicago....land of potholes. So, for an 18 year old wheel I am sceptical. The price per wheel was extremely reasonable. The shipping cost for 4 was high. I rolled the dice and am hoping for the best.

I live in Beloit, WI (gateway to WI) I travel down to Chicago a lot along with traveling north a lot. The difference is unbelievable from WI to IL roads, IL being the worse ones. I'll have to take some pictures of the border, its super noticeable. So the only thing I would worry about is maybe a little road rash, not too worried about them being bent but curious to know though. :)

I had posted something yesterday and now do not see it.
Hope the new wheels work.
A six year old axle sounds like the next thing to look at if the wheels do not fix the problem.

I really hate to say this, but I spent two hours changing my timing belt today only to find out I put the old one back on as I started to put the serpent belt on. I hate to admit this on live forum, but stuff happens.

I spent two hours fussing with the CBV nuts in that horrible limited access space, and then saw the new diaphragm lying on the floor giggling at me...." Not done yet!"

Hint..when the parts start to talk to you, it's time to quit or at least check your meds....

I agree about the axle. I guess I'll find out. Right now I'm more inclined to suspect the wheels. Moving the wheels around changed the nature and intensity of the vibration. I now get vibration at 40 mph which stops at 50 mph and comes back at 60 to 70 mph and then goes away again above about 72 mph. The guys at the tire store told me that my wheels are all bad. The two of them now on the back are worse than the other two.

We generally dont have potholes at all in Atlanta but about a year ago I hit a really bad one on the route I travel every day. It wasn't there the day before. It hit so hard I was surprised that the tire didn't go flat. Anyhow that's when my vibration problems started. Maybe the out of round wheel eventually damaged the axle...dont know.

Sorry about that timing belt problem. The 98 volvo gives me many opportunities to spend all day working on it. I almost always have do one of the steps twice because I wasn't paying close enough attention.

Yes. I unpacked them and cleaned off the bead sealer. They look pretty good for their age. I haven't gotten them on the car yet. I bought them so that when I need new tires (within a month or so) I'll have them standing by so I won't have to pay twice to mount the tires. I'll take the best of my original wheels and use it for a full sized spare. I had a blowout recently so I have a brand new cheap tire that will make a good spare.

The wheels look have very little road rash. I don't know if they will fix my vibration problem or not. We'll see. I don't want to pump a lot of money into this car. I have put a lot of work into it but not lots of cash.
