The fuel flap motor to lock the lid doesn't appear to work. I removed it and tried applying power to it from my 4A/12V trickle charger and also tried from my booster pack, but nothing. Opened the unit up and found a similar electric motor to all Volvo systems using small motors (like the head-light motors). Opened it up and cleaned the brushes and still nothing so guess motor is goosed. Is there anywhere other than PnP to get a good replacement motor? Cheapest new Volvo part is about $85 US + shipping (part # 3509066).
As I have also to replace the aerial mast/motor and possibly the trunk lid actuator, need to find cheaper options. I will go to PnP but the trouble is that you can pull the parts but there is no easy way to test them unless I can use my booster pack in the parking lot to test them.

Looks like you looked at TASCA...yeah, I think you're in for a PnP.... you can let FCPEuro price match but that doesn't really help you either.
I would say to test whatever you're powering things with on a known good part so you know it works before taking it to the junk yard- I don't see why they won't let you in with it!

PnP can be funny about what they let you in with. Apparently torches (confused the hell out of me as in UK speak that is a flashlight!!) and jacks are a no-no (understandable), so I will need to check on battery booster/test system. Issue will be finding something to test first. Now where are those headlight wiper motors........
