Groan/Humming at 1500RPM

Sounds like the trans to me. Get up to speed then place the trans in neutral before applying the brakes. Does it still shake? If yes then the shake is near certainly a suspension/brake problem (not related). If no, then it's the trans. When they installed that rebuild did they install a new/rebuilt torque converter with it or is that original? (that's what I'm thinking).

There is no shaking at anytime just a groan. The shaking is in reference when I'm at a stop light fully stop that the vibration increases when I engaged the brake when I'm fully stopped release brake when fully stopped vibration goes away I'm thinking it is something with vacumn or pressure related just had it at volvo no transmission issue and it was a new torque converter

If the trans is ruled out as a possible cause from your other descriptions I don't think there's any way to try to diagnose it without seeing/hearing it. I noted an electrical problem on mine where various sensor readings showed a large AC ripple which centered right around 1500RPM but would go away at over 2000 and at idle. I still haven't completely sorted that yet. But I didn't get a groaning noise with it though. Just rough run/poor econ.

Hey Guys,

Still diagnosing this issue. One thing that I did notice today while I had the V70 up in the air. When the front coil springs are uncompressed the right front coil spring is actually pressing against the fender well where I can't even slide a measuring tape behind it. The left coil spring I can run my hand behind it. Also with my wife sitting in the passenger front seat the noise reduces some. Awhile back the right front took a bug hit into a pothole, which I had to replace both right side rims I had it into a body shop and they said there was nothing else wrong. Could a bent spingle or strut cause this type of noise, and the sound be reduced with a partial load on the right hand side.
