There's an ejector pump that brings the fuel from the saddle to the main pump, so you should have gotten most of it out your way. How long did it take, I'm curious..DPDISXR4Ti wrote:Only one? Cut the fuel line at the fuel rail, attached a hose to a gas tank. Found the fuel pump access panel under the rear seat (driver side) and snipped the blue and black wires. Using a 14.2 volt Ryobi battery, I powered the pump directly and out came the fuel. I think I've got about 12 gallons out so far, before it started sputtering.
The owner indicates that he had just filled it up before it died, so it seems there should be more fuel in it. So I'm wondering if there's any magic that needs to happen to get the fuel over from the other side of the saddle tank. Is there some sort of cross-over tube?
