Is it true that your car reacts how it has been previously driven??????? Does the ecu rememember and recognise driving styles etc|???? Is this true or an old wives tale please !!!!!!!!!! ty in advance for any replies that are much appreciated,

I can't comment as an authority, only from what I've read.
But from what I've read, I'd characterize the ecu as remembering not so much 'how you drive' but rather parameters like max rpm's over the course of the last x number of shifts, fuel vs. air mappings, things like that.

Yes, within the parameters of the chip the ECU will learn your diving style, how quickly you depress the gas, % of time at full throttle, etc. The adjustments the ECU makes is predictive adjusting ignition advance and fuel curves. The learning process is relativle slow and does not make a drastic change, but it would be noticable.
